Get Business Ready for Sustainability
Have you heard about the Sunshine Coast Biosphere but have no idea how your business can benefit from operating within it? Well, this is the event for you!
Join us on Thursday 11th July, from 6.45am at Yandina Station as we help you ‘Get Business Ready for Sustainability’.
UNESCO defines a biosphere reserve as a ‘learning place for sustainable development’. Biosphere reserves encompass terrestrial, marine, and coastal ecosystems, where each site promotes solutions reconciling biodiversity conservation with sustainable use. A biosphere reserve provides local solutions to global challenges.
So, how can local businesses benefit from operating within the Sunshine Coast Biosphere? Here are some examples for you…
• Being internationally recognised as a biosphere reserve, the Sunshine Coast attracts more investment, helping local businesses to grow through the creation of niche markets for our region’s products and services.
• The biosphere reserve classification raises the Sunshine Coast profile and increases our region's desirability, attracting more visitors to the region and boosting the economy.
• There is increased collaboration between local businesses focusing on sustainability projects.
If this has piqued your interest and you’re eager to learn more, make sure you purchase a ticket to the ‘Get Business Ready for Sustainability’ breakfast. By attending, you will have the opportunity to hear first-hand from several local business people about how they have taken the opportunity to leverage the Sunshine Coast’s biosphere classification in their respective businesses.
Stay tuned for the announcement of our guest speakers!
